Ukrainian Dating Habits

For centuries, men and women have been circling each other before committing to one another. Today, that is informally called dating. The potential partners meet for a period of time, talk, express their likes and dislikes to one another and get to know each other before making any further steps. Ukrainian dating follows the same rules as dating in any other civilized country.

Both men and women may also date for a shorter period of time, with no intention of a long-term relationship. They do it because they may be attracted to each other but have little in common. This is one of the habits of the modern man. Ukrainian dating conforms to both modern standards and is at the same time a little more conservative compared to other countries.

The upbringing of the Ukrainian people is more related to religion and customs, and a woman who would date many men at a time, or one who would date just for fun would be regarded by most men as indecent. Such women would then be the victims of the men who like dating just for fun. This is a vicious circle due to the prejudices of their society.

The rules in Ukrainian dating differ a little from what we may consider as normal. The woman should never make the first step, because when she does, her reputation sinks dramatically. If the woman wants to be successful, she must not accept the date the very first time she meets the man. She should play hard to get and slowly allow the man to get to know her, before they take the next step.
