Ukrainian Personals
If you were to look into a Ukrainian newspaper or a website - presuming you could understand the language, of course - what would you think about the Ukrainian personals you find there? Would they be different from what you read every day on different websites or in the papers? Would they be funny, or sad, melancholic or pragmatic? Take a minute and think about this. Take what you already know about these people and try to figure out if these adverts would be any different than the ones you would post if you were looking for your mate?
Would the Ukrainian personals read something like: “poor man looking for a woman with not so high financial demands”, or “single mother looking for a good provider”. Would there be many of these adverts in a Ukrainian newspaper or website? Are the people maybe too proud to place such ads?
My personal opinion is that these ads are very much alike ours, maybe with a slight cultural touch. The persons usually name their age, maybe their stats, and the kind of partner they are looking for. Nothing too drastic, except maybe the occasional funny ad some teenagers have placed just to get some calls.
Ukrainian personals are surely very interesting if you take the time and read them. You might even discover what kind of people are writing them and learn a little more about the culture and habits of this amazing people.
